\"cae\"Christopher Elst first connected with Unrehearsed at a workshop in Eureka, IL, where he appeared in Henry V<\/em> as the Dauphin. As one half of Wisconsin’s TheaterRED, Chris has helped bring several Unrehearsed performances to Milwaukee, including Comedy of Errors<\/em>, Two Gentlemen of Verona<\/em>, Midsummer Night’s Dream<\/em>, The Merry Wives of Windsor<\/em>, and Twelfth Night<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Q: If you were banished by your dukely uncle, where in the world would you flee?<\/strong><\/em>
\nCHRISTOPHER<\/strong>: Assuming it could be a civilized place, I would like to visit London. If not, I would prefer to be banished some place temperate like the Pacific Northwest. I know many people might prefer the tropics, but I like the occasional snow, and am clearly genetically pre-disposed to live in a bog of some kind.<\/p>\n

Q: What is your most recent journey?<\/strong><\/em>
\nCHRISTOPHER<\/strong>: Most recently, I spent three weeks of my summer training at the North Carolina School of the Arts to earn my rank as a Certified Teacher of stage combat with the Society of American Fight Directors. In that capacity, I travel fairly frequently, but not anywhere very exciting, I’m afraid.<\/p>\n

Q: If you were banished to the Forest of Arden, what three things would you take with you?<\/strong><\/em>
\nCHRISTOPHER<\/strong>: My bible (which is the complete Shakespeare), a case of rapiers, and a guitar, so that I might finally learn a musical instrument. That should give me plenty to do; otherwise, I should get bored, so fidgety a person am I.<\/p>\n

Q: There are lots of people in the Forest of Arden: Lovers, Wrestlers, Shepherds, Nobles, Clowns, Cross-dressers, and Real Estate Enthusiasts. How would you fit in? Which of these would you be?<\/strong><\/em>
\nCHRISTOPHER<\/strong>: Probably my best bet would be to sit at the lunch table with the clowns. I’ve played many of these others on stage and in life, but, given my druthers, I’d wax philosophical over a few intoxicants before sweating over other, lesser interests.<\/p>\n
