TWO GENTS is but a fortnight away, let’s meet our intrepid players!
Jessica Goforth, the ultimate warrior queen, has previously rocked the scroll with The Unrehearsed Shakespeare Company in Twelfth Night ’18 as Maria, in Coriolanus as Volumnia, and in Richard II as the Duchess of York.
Q:What can the audience expect from an Unrehearsed production of Two Gentlemen of Verona?
JESSICA: They can’t. One of the things I love about Unrehearsed is that anything can happen. The audience has no idea what’s going to go down, and neither does the cast!
Q:What’s your favorite show from last season? Why?
JESSICA: I had never seen or read Richard II, and I was struck at how good it was – the pacing moved quickly, the verse was beautifully written and the tragedy was heartbreaking. I wish people did this show more often!
Q:You and your BBF are going on an all-expenses paid trip! Where do you go?
JESSICA: EUROPE! ALL OF IT!
Q: Love makes…?
JESSICA:…a giant mess of things but it’s probably worth it…?
Q:What’s next for you?
JESSICA: An Enemy of the People with Goodman Theatre (March 10 – April 15, use code ENEMYCAST for 50% off tickets!), I’m also understudying Down The Rocky Road And All The Way To Bedlam with Otherworld Theatre, and I’m going on May 3-6.
What role is Jessica playing? Come see her performance on April 17th to find out!
